The FHB Alert System and Risk Tool resumed activity this week (March 6th).  Wheat is most vulnerable to Fusarium infection during flowering and the early stages of grain development.  The Southern US is the current focus on the forecasting effort. The maps indicate that most of the Southern US is at low risk for FHB.

Conditions can change rapidly and growers in these areas should work with their local extension specialists to determine the risk for their fields.
