Summer teacher tours

ST. PAUL — The Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom Program (MAITC) offers a unique annual summer tour that allows educators to get a first-hand look into the world of agriculture. We’ll share resources, offer hands-on activities, and provide interactive ideas for integrating agriculture as a context for achieving academic standards at all levels. CEUs and graduate credits are also available.

This year, teachers can choose from three options. The Specialty Crop tour is July 17th and 18th and will leave from Maple Grove both days. The Many Faces of Agriculture tour will depart from Bloomington on July 24th and return on July 25th. It includes overnight accommodations, tour stops in the Mankato area, and the MAITC Annual Meeting dinner event. The Northern Minnesota tour is July 7th only. We’ll focus on the Bemidji area and cap the tour off with a farm dinner. Registration is open for all three tours. Register early so you don’t miss out on these great tours!
