Wick to be Inducted into Farm Broadcasting

Hall of Fame

Red River Farm Network President Don Wick is one of two inductees for the National Association of Farm Broadcasting Hall of Fame. Don Wick will participate in the induction ceremony at the NAFB Night of Honors Thursday, November 8, 2018 in Kansas City. Mike Adams is the other honoree for 2018. Adams hosts Adams on Agriculture and is the former host of AgriTalk.

 

Before joining the Red River Farm Network in 2003, Wick worked for legendary radio stations, WCCO-Minneapolis, Minnesota and WNAX-Yankton, South Dakota. Wick began his broadcasting career as a teenager at KWMB-Wabasha, Minnesota. After Brown Institute for Broadcasting, Wick returned to KWMB and continued his farm broadcast career at KLGR-Redwood Falls, Minnesota and KWOA-Worthington, Minnesota.

 

Wick was president of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting in 1997 and was named the National Farm Broadcaster of the Year in 2003. Wick has been a member of the NAFB Foundation Board; chaired professional improvement, nominating, Trade Talk committees and edited the NAFB publication, Chats. Wick has been a farm broadcaster for 36 years.

 

Don and Kolleen Wick have two sons, Tony and Sam, and five grandchildren. They reside in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
