Navigating Change and Building Resilience in Small Scale Agri-Food Processing

The Northern Crops Institute, Montana Manufacturing Extension Center and Agriculture Utilization Research Institute are hosting a free webinar benefiting small scale agri-food processors in the Upper Midwest. The webinar will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 9:00am – 10:30am CST and feature presentations on resilience and adaptability by Guy Moos and Dennis Hoiberg. Industry experts are invited to webinar, which will include discussion with both speakers.

Guy Moos is a Dickinson native. He began working part-time at Baker Boy (the family business) in 1968 while he was in school. He later became Manager of the Baker Boy Pizza & Café in 1974, Manager of The Donut Hole located in Mandan, ND in 1978 and General Manager of Baker Boy in 1984. He has been the president of Baker Boy since 1993. Since 1979, Baker Boy has grown from 3 full time employees to over 200. He is currently serving on the Boards of Baker Boy, Bully Pulpit and the National Association of Manufacturers. In 1990, he received the Meritorious Service Award from Dickinson State University. In 1993, he received the GNDA Entrepreneurial Spirit Award. In 1999, he was named Baker of the Year by the Bakers of North Dakota Association. In 2004, he received the Greater North Dakotan Award by GNDA.

Dennis Hoiberg from Melbourne, Australia is the founder of Lessons Learnt Consulting, an organizational consultant with more than 30 years’ experience working with individuals, teams and businesses to achieve personal satisfaction, excellence and high performance. His main area of consulting expertise and interest is assisting people thrive through change, applying his lessons and experience in a practical and pragmatic style. Dennis’ unique insight into human psychology provides his clients with highly effective strategies and tools to be able to bounce forward and thrive through change at a personal, team, and community level.
